Education City

Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development in 2003 celebrated the opening of Education City. This pioneering project is designed to prepare personnel and investment in the side where the human will to promote forward thinking and creative solutions.

Academic Bridge Program  

The Academic Bridge Program (ABP) was launched in 2001 as a co-educational, pre-university preparatory program designed to help students make the transition from high school to university.

The ABP arms students with crucial academic knowledge, teaches the value of personal study disciplines, improves their English language competence and coaches them in the social skills required for success.

  • 1- Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar
    Established in 2004, Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar (CMU-Q) is a center for scholarship and research that attracts students from all over the world.     Creating leaders since 2005, SFS-Qatar Currently offers a four-year liberal arts program, with majors in International Politics, Culture and Politics, and International Economics, leading to a BSc in Foreign Service degree.     Established in 2007, Qatar Faculty of Islamic Studies (QFIS) is an international center for Islamic thinking and dialogue. Its aim is to enhance research into Islamic culture and promote the diversity and tolerance of the Islamic Fiqh, or understanding.     QF’s collaboration with RAND through RQPI seeks to develop innovative solutions through the application of rigorous methodologies and international best practices in research.   • Sidra Medical and Research Center

    Sidra Medical and Research Center (Sidra) is a landmark development, planning to focus on three primary areas: patient care, medical education and biomedical research.

    Scheduled to open at the end of 2012, Sidra will be the first academic medical center in the Middle East.  Grants & Aids

Financial Aid Program to help students meet the financial obligations of their universities. Financial aid given to students through this program is in the form of loans. In exchange for the loans awarded, students will be expected upon graduation to repay the full amount of the loan according to a repayment plan or to participate in a paid service program at an organization in Qatar approved by Qatar Foundation. The Financial Aid Committee at Qatar Foundation will determine financial need according to a uniform method of need analysis. We strive to maintain fair and equitable financial aid policies and practices that ensure equal access for all students who have been admitted to an Education City university.
